Southern 500 music festival features a lineup of youth bands and DJs from across the shire and Macedon Ranges, with headlining performances by Adelaide's all-girl indie punk rock band, Teenage Joans. The day will also have a range of other activities including:

Giant inflatable slide to bring out your inner child.
A decoration station for festival body art

The Push All-Ages Tour is back and we’re on the road for some huge shows across regional Victoria
On Friday 22 November the All-Ages Tour takes over the Maydale Pavillion with performances from The Rions, South Summit and Jem Cassar Daley PLUS local supports as chosen by the FReeZA All-Ages Events Team and triple j Unearthed!
This is an all-ages, fully supervised, drug, alcohol, smoke and vape-free event. No passouts.

Do I need a parent/legal guardian to accompany me?
This is a fully supervised all-ages event with anyone over 12 not requiring a parent or legal guardian to accompany them. However, patrons under the age of 12 can attend but must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian on the day.
What sort of safety measures are in place at the event?
The Push works hard to ensure all young people who attend our events feel safe and supported. Here are some of the ways we ensure attendees safety:
All event crew who are 18+ including The Push staff, volunteers, security, first aid, contractors, performers and venue staff are required to have a valid Working With Children Check
All events run by The Push are alcohol, smoke, vape and drug free with security completing bag checks on arrival
A chill out space will be provided for young people experiencing sensory overload throughout the event
First Aid Officers and a trained AOD Youth Worker will be present throughout the duration of the event

Artist Talk: Ivan Durrant
Join us for an insightful artist talk with Ivan Durrant, one of Australia’s most provocative and revered artists, as he delves into his latest exhibition, Marmalade Skies Through Opal Eyes. This talk will explore the inspirations and techniques behind his recent series of paintings, which capture the serene landscapes of the Western District and the intimate still-life scenes from his studio.
Durrant’s work has long been a source of conversation and controversy, known for its powerful social commentary and evocative exploration of themes such as animal slaughter and rural life. In this talk, Durrant will reflect on his decades-long career, his approach to confronting societal issues through art, and the evolution of his practice.

Have an idea you want to pitch or a project to share? Want to learn about the media machine? Come to YACVic's free Media Training and learn what the media is, how to think critically about the media you use, how to talk to them and how to share an idea! And more!
What to expect
Do you want to speak to the media on an issue that affects you?
Young people should be actively advocating and representing their communities in the media on issues we care about. Yet only 1% of stories in Australian mainstream media directly quote young people.
YACVic are running dedicated media training for young people aged 12 to 25. This workshop equips you with the tools and knowledge to understand the media, know how to pitch a story, write a media release, use social media and nail a media interview.
This session is designed for a small group of up to 30 young people.
