Southern Grampians TAC L2P Program
Description
The Southern Grampians TAC L2P Program helps eligible Victorian learner drivers aged 16 to 21 to gain important driving experience with a trained volunteer mentor.
Participants use program-dedicated vehicles to gain the mandatory 120+ hours of driving practice required to apply for a probationary licence.
Learner drivers are provided with the opportunity to gain that essential driving experience with trained volunteer mentors for a minimum of one hour per week, whilst also providing access to driving lessons with a professional driving instructor.
The Southern Grampians L2P Program targets young learner drivers aged 16 – 21 years who live in the Southern Grampians Shire and who have their learner’s permit.
The Program aims to assist young learner drivers who may not have access to either a vehicle or supervising driver to achieve the mandatory 120 hours of driving practice before obtaining a probationary licence. There is no charge to participants accepted into this program.
Learners need to meet the following criteria to join the TAC L2P program:
• be between 16 and 21 years old
• hold a current learner permit
• have no access to a vehicle or a supervising driver*
• live in Southern Grampians Shire.
